Gebruik HJSplit (voor PC) en Split&Concact (voor MAC) om zich bij de delen in één dossier aan te sluiten. Zodra u plaatselijk de ingebouwde programmatuur op uw PC of MAC downloadt, volg hierboven de stappen om iPod Aanraking aan Ingebouwde programmatuur 3.0 bij te werken.

    well it didnt work for me it said it wasnt compatible. i downloaded bot te one for the 1G and the 2G and neither workd for me and i have already deleted the one for the 1G

    can someone please tell me once youve downloaded the files, and split and concat what do you do

    put all the downloaded files in folder and extract one of the file using winrar. then you will find one new sofware update file.then go to itunes press restore while holding shift and select the extracted file.

    Thank you!! I've got a 1st generation Touch and wasnt gonna pay £6 for an update that hardly changes much for my ipod.

    Just make sure the 3.0 firmware you've downloaded and re-joined finishes with .ipsw and it should work perferctly for you too.

    you guys do things way to complicated. when you download it, just choose save as and save as an ipsw file... way easier, no joining. THAT is simple computor skills.

    The only restore I can find is if I right click on the device name and select "Restore from Backup..." and then it brings up a menu that I can only select my ipod name and it says this will not restore ipod firmware.
    So where is the restore button that lets me pick the new firmware?

    @ Jed, had the same problem searching for it but i found it.

    After connecting your iTouch to your computer and opening itunes, click on your iTouch icon, then when a screen that says "would you like to purchase the 3.0 firmware for $9.99", just press "no thanks" or "remind me later". Then it should automatically go on the "summary" tab. Shaded in a gray should be the VERSION box, and under the "Update" button, you'll find the "Restore" button.

    Hope that helps, all the other people above never bothered answering this simple question. Haha

    I think you're referring to the iPod capacity 8Gb. You can see if you have 1G or 2G in Settings->General->About.

    If you're tired of waiting for Rapidshare I also suggest going to SoftPedia, that's where I downloaded mine and you don't have to use HJSplit for it.

    I did evrthg I got the 2.0 version tkx fr dat...bt I also did for the 3.0 version I got the 3files ...I put them into a single folder as u said ..I tried to extract now ..but when I do it the same 3files come out .....pliz help me

    hi i have done evertything apart from join the files together. i am doing the 3.0 update, when i try and join the 3 files using HJsplit when i press start it says ' invalid floating operatin' somene help pleae !!!!

    if u want to know how to jail brake it just look at youtube it helped me with my 2nd gen its realy easy steps even a 10 yr old can do it just follo the steps and vwalla ur jailbroken hapy free stuff!
