How to Access Blocked Websites and IP ranges by using easy-to-use and secure tools,

1. Proxy Server

Use a proxy server to access restricted sites. A proxy server (or proxies) is a normal computer that hides the identity of computers on its network from the Internet. Which means that only the address of the proxy server is visible to the world and not of those computers that are using it to browse the Internet. Just visit the proxy server website with your Web browser and enter a URL (website address) in the form provided.

Well apart from these proxy sites you can bookmark the DMOZ CGI Proxies and DMOZ Proxy Lists

2. Proxy Search Softwares

Alternatively there are several softwares available for using proxies. Just search on google to get an endless list.

Here are my favourite ones. They are all Free!

3. Fresh Proxy Lists

You can get a list of free secure IP:PORT proxies at HideMyAss Proxy List :D Didnt know about that now did you? ;)

4. Convert URL to IP

You can use this service called Web Server IP Checker to get the IP of the server on which your site is hosted, the one you want to visit using proxy.

Once the IP is in your hand type http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in your browser to visit the blocked site, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP of the web server and thats it.

You can also get the IP of the webserver by using Command Prompt. Just go to Run and type 'cmd' and press OK. Now type "ping http://www.website.com" without quotes and you will get the IP.

5. Convert IP to Decimal

If the URL to IP trick fails over some networks this is the trick you are looking for :D Just get the IP of the site from Web Server IP Checker and go to RedRoster. Enter the IP in the IP address field and hit calculate. You will get an address in Decimal Field. Take this and paste in your browser as http://xxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxx is your decimal converted IP and it shall work.

    i am living in the UAE and i am using macintosh G3 with mac OS9 loaded and i have broad band internet connection form etisalat a local internet provider and most of the websites are blocked
    i had tried using all the methods of unblocking them using your methods of IP address and Proxy methods but of no use, i am getting some kind of errors, i dont know am i doing it in right way or not so can u help me out giving some easiest way to visit blocked site by giving some simple step by step example. and give me some free proxies to do this and tell me how to do this

    The reason why many proxies are not working is because they dont look into small small matters such as deleting the word proxies and orkut from meta and content of page.
    Admins are (or rather the softwares they use) are smart enough to block by just scanning the content.
    Especially the meta data of the proxy homepage and proxified pages.

    I use http://www.pagemod.com to browse in office.

    Its the only working one here in UAE.
    I agree with Ajay regarding powerscrap.It aint that secure.

    I’ve tried lots of proxies, but most of them do not even work, others are blocked by ISP as well. Anyway the connection was so poor, to download torrents or from rapidshare. So I’ve got http://strongvpn.com OpenVPN account. It works with mobile devices, and I’m using it with my iPod. Much better! First of all my traffic is encrypted, then the connection is stable, fast and reliable and it’s real 24*7 support. Do not use proxy with it lags and viruses.

    Web proxies are a great utility, but if you want to go a notch further and can use it on a non-public computer, so you have access to add network connections, you should look into secure VPN tunnels, maybe top it off with Privoxy and you got really high anonymity :)
