Well, as most of you know that what Orkut is. It is a social networking service powered by Google. Orkut is very much famous in countries like Brazil, United States, India, Pakistan and Iran. It was time since Internet and Identity Abuse hit the roots of this social network. It is still in the Beta stage and in the past 2 years it has been the victim of massive identity abuse (e.g. Fake profiles and fake IDs) and Unethical Freedom (e.g. Pornographics pictures and display of ones personal pictures on some fake ID) which is strictly illegal. With the growing cyber crime it is hard for people to appeal against these filthy violators of Cyber ethics. But a case here tells us that to whatever extent Cyber crimes have expanded there still exists a force to track down these violators and put them behind the bars.

A student of Bachelor of Management Studies was arrested some months ago for creating a classmates profile and uploading her picture with offensive messages on an online community site without her permission. Thanks to the Cyber Cell of Thane Police as soon as they got complaint from the victim girl about being abused Orkut.com they contacted all the way to Sweden (Thats where the Orkut servers are located) and got the IP of the Profile creator and tracked him down to his house.
