Backup your MySQL Database and All your Blog Directory 2. Deactivate all your plugins and then make a Backup of your MySQL again 3. Follow the instructions on the official Wordpress site for a successful upgrade <b>Note:</b> Performing the first 2 steps that I have mentioned above is mandatory as they are not listed on the official Wordpress site.
