Looks like Orkut is seriously on the run this year 
which we can fairly predict by seeing the amount of feature improvements Orkut has done this year
Finally here comes another new great addition to New Orkut Features - Community Polls
Users can now create their own user defined Polls in Orkut Communities in just a matter of minutes 
The default left vertical navigation inside Orkut Communities has been updated with a new View Polls button
To simply create a Poll go to View Polls in left vertical navigation and then click on create a new poll and after verifying you are a human using CAPTCHA it shall take you to the new page introduced by Orkut i.e. Orkut.com/PollCreate.aspx
Here you can easily create your Poll. The interface looks something like this:
You will notice the Orkut gives you the ability to make your Polls more interactive and colorful by allowing you to add Images with your Poll Question and Poll Options. You can create as many Poll Options as you like 
Moreover the greatness about Orkut Polls is that now users can vote for a poll option in a community of which they are not even a member means Anyone is allowed to vote and you can also add an expiry to your Poll to end it automatically 
My opinion is that the new feature introduced by Google is a great new step to the world of Social Networking Sites and it shall add more social interactivity amongst the masses.
Google is on the loose and everyone can feel it Its just a matter of time till Orkut overtakes MySpace and other Social Networking Sites
