Google Docs Soon To Welcome Google Presentations

Google Docs and Spreadsheets

Google Docs and Spreadsheets

Being a hyper Google fan you must already be aware about Google Docs and Spreadsheets which are free online services by Google created in order to compete with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft products. The good thing about these tools is that they are free and easy to use.

Similarly it seems that Google is not only working on competing against standalone products by Microsoft rather its planning to create a whole Google Office Suite online.

Google Presentations

This consideration came to my knowledge as soon as it was announced on the Official Google Blog that the Google Docs and Spreadsheets family would soon be welcoming a new member and that would be Google Presentations.

The new Google Presentations technology that is soon to be welcomed will be managed by Tonic Systems which has recently been acquired by Google. Tonic is an Australian company which excels in Presentation creation and document conversion and as Google states this shall be a great addition to the Google Docs and Spreadsheets family.

Google Presentations vs Microsoft Powerpoint

My personal opinion is that the competition between Microsoft and Google seems real hot ironed these days. Microsoft is taking over the Computer World by introducing new innovative products with high prices and Google is taking on the Web by re-making same products to be used in a online web environment and that too for free. I won’t be surprised if soon we hear that Google announces the release of Google Office
