Google Search
We use Google daily don't we? Once Twice Thrice or should I say a million times in our course of research and development. But all of our search revolves around a query that is hidden somewhere in our mind. But guess what? Google launches new features that totally revolutionize its search technology and do not require you to have any query while searching. Means you can Search without a Query
As announced on the Official Google Blog Google has introduced two new features to its search engine technology.
Google's New Search Features
The new features that Google has introduced are basically to eliminate the need for having a query in mind while searching something. Both of these are available to Search History users. A detailed analysis of both new features is given below:
Feature 1 : Google Dice
No no its not a real piece of dice
rather its a recommendations button on the Google Toolbar that looks like a piece of Dice. Clicking on the dice will take you a site of your interest based on your previous search queries. Clicking the dice again will take you to a new site of similar interest again. Like this you can surf 50 new sites of your interest and hobby. Just add the Google Dice button to your Toolbar.
Here take a look at the Google Dice:

Feature 2 : New Recommendations Tab
This is the new feature introduced by Google that can help you get information at a glance. You can add this to your personalized homepage by simply clicking on "Add A Tab" on your Google Personalized Homepage, and just type in "Recommendations" for the tab name (keep the "I'm feeling lucky" checkbox checked). Google will give you a page of recommendations that are updated daily
Google vs StumbleUpon
It is a very clear observation that this new feature introduced by Google is none other but a mere replica of the search technology that StumbleUpon uses. Still the fact that StumbleUpon is not only about searching new sites rather making sharing distributing and working on a social platform will still take over Google no matter how Google tries to go. Google's new features are definitely not innovative in this case but still being the biggest search engine daddy you can always expect new things out of Google
