For all out there who use Google Docs and Spreadsheets there are new treats for you. Google has added new features to Google Docs and Spreadsheets. Also being a very frequent Google Doc user I think that it is necessary for every Google Spreadsheet user to know how to add charts to your Google Documents

All thanx to the Official Google Docs Blog that now adding charts and pie diagrams to your Google Docs is no longer a difficult task

Adding Charts To Google Docs

Here is how Google teaches us to add Charts to Google Docs:

  1. Select the cells you want to use for the chart data
  2. Click the new chart icon in the toolbar
  3. Select your chart type In the popup dialog
  4. Customize your chart

See it was a simple 4 step easy process :mrgreen:

New Google Spreadsheet Features

Talking about new features Google Spreadsheet comes in our mind. Here is a list of feature updates for Google Spreadsheets:

  • Named ranges: you can define a name for a range of cells, and use this name in formulas to refer to cells, for example write =sum(expenses) instead of =sum(c12:e17). This helps make calculation logic clearer to write and understand. Check it out under the "Formulas" tab.
  • Cell comments: Attach comments to individual cells, great for additional information or for collaboration on a single cell.
  • Bi-directional text: The ability to properly view and edit text in right-to-left languages like Hebrew.
  • Duplicate Sheet: A quick way to duplicate a sheet.
  • Search The Web: A new right-click option to search the web for the text in a cell.
