We are definitely aware of the OLPC : One Laptop Per Child Project which features 100 Dollar Laptops and its aim is to bring computer knowledge and Technology atmosphere in the third world countries. We zijn zeker op de hoogte van de OLPC: One Laptop Per Child Project dat 100 dollar laptops en zijn doel eigenschappen is de computer van kennis en technologie sfeer brengen in de derde wereld landen. But the OLPC project is soon to find a competitor from India which features 10 Dollar Laptops. Maar het OLPC-project is binnenkort een concurrent te vinden uit India die 10 Dollar Laptops functies.

Recently the OLPC Project pushed its price per laptop from $175, from $100 and rejecting this offer India's HDR Ministry claims that it can take this price to as low as $10 which is a topic of great debate so as in whether it is going to be a reality or fiction? Onlangs heeft de OLPC-project de prijs per laptop geduwd vanaf 175 dollar, van 100 dollar en de afwijzing van dit aanbod van India HDR ministerie beweert dat zij deze prijs kunnen nemen om zo laag als $ 10, dat is een onderwerp van groot debat, zodat in de vraag of het gaat om een realiteit of fictie?

The India Times reports that the manufacturing for the $10 laptop has already been pushed down to app. The India Times meldt dat de productie voor de 10 dollar laptop is al omlaag geduwd naar app. $50 but the manufacturing of mere $10 laptop still deems to be fiction as no manufacturer has yet agreed to a such low price. 50 dollar, maar de productie van slechts 10 dollar laptop nog steeds acht worden fictie als geen enkele fabrikant nog niet heeft ingestemd met een dergelijk lage prijs.

OLPC is no doubt already on the move and it is a matter of time since every child in the third world nations shall have a laptop of his/her own but this $10 Laptop Project by India is going to take a minimum of 2 years for its accomplishment. OLPC is ongetwijfeld al op de beweging en het is een kwestie van tijd, omdat ieder kind in de derde wereld landen hebben een laptop van zijn / haar eigen, maar dit 10 dollar laptop-project door India gaat een minimum van 2 jaar voor haar rekening prestatie. Till then it remains a mere fiction for all. Tot dan blijft het een louter fictie voor iedereen.

    I don't think this plan is practical based on the present technology. Ik denk niet dat dit plan praktisch is gebaseerd op de huidige technologie. based on my knowledge, the cheapest small mono-LCD (black-white) for cellphone would cost like 3~5 USD (that kind of LCD has been mass-produced for many years). gebaseerd op mijn kennis, de goedkoopste kleine mono-LCD (zwart-wit) voor de mobiele telefoon zou kosten als 3 ~ 5 USD (dat soort van LCD is massa-geproduceerde vele jaren).

    Considering that India is tops in terms of brain and talent in the IT sector, and the fact that an Indian developed the Intel Pentium processor, I think India can do it, lets just wait and see.     Things which we thought NOT possible a couple of centuries are possible now.. Dingen die we dachten NIET mogelijk een paar eeuwen zijn mogelijk nu .. for eg. voor oa. mobile phones when seen on Star Trek were thought fiction which became a comman reality these days. mobiele telefoons wanneer men in Star Trek werd gedacht fictie die werkelijkheid werd een comman deze dagen.

    However I think they have to drastically change the technology to be able to achieve their goal. Maar ik denk dat ze moeten drastisch veranderen de technologie in staat om hun doel te bereiken.

    However, there is a more important thing that they need to target. Er is echter een belangrijk ding dat ze moeten richten. A laptop whether $10 or $100 is not a ticket for complete education.
