Most of you would have noticed a new button in the sidebar known as the YouTube Downloader. Well it is a real working YouTube video downloader that I have created for my personal use and also so that other users can benefit from it and can download and save their favorite YouTube videos on their desktops.
Some of the responses I got were very encouraging after implementing this totally innovative feature in wordpress but some had to say that it is going to use a lot of server resources and may mess up my wordpress. Here I am going to explain whats so easy and different about this YouTube Downloader and how easy it was for me to implement it.
YouTube Video Downloader Source Code
First of all my huge thanks to ThirdNipple for the free php source code which was made available on their site to help someone make an easy YouTube video downloader. I can manipulate and alter PHP codes but it is a true fact that I can’t code in PHP from scratch so I had to use the ready-made free code created by ThirdNipple. The code is indeed very light and does not use your server resources at all.
Why Have a YouTube Video Downloader?
- Fetch some huge traffic to your Blog/Website
- Use it for your personal use to download videos
- Make your users happy by giving them a free service
- Make some Money for yourself
I know I could have bought a separate domain to launch this service but why should I? This service shall give my blog free publicity, traffic and readers then why should I bother registering new domains for new services when one domain can do the whole job. Also registering, updating and managing different domains is a big job. Let your blog do that job for you.
How to setup the YouTube Video Downloader?
If you want to Implement this on your blog/website simply follow the steps instructed:
- Make a php file e.g
youtube-download.phpin your blog/website directory and add this code to it.
- Now make a page/post in your blog/website and add this iframe code to its code section.
- Save your page and Publish it and the show is on.
Easy now wasn’t that? Offer your users some free goodies and see the magic of traffic come along.
Caution: WordPress does not generate code-friendly quotes. So when you copy the ifram code re-write the quotes.
