Microsoft has introduced a lot of new services and applications since the Live ideas concept jumped in. These services range from applications like Windows Live Writer to Windows Live Custom Domain and similarly a lot more.

Its in the air that Microsoft is about to launch its new secret online file storage service which is codenamed LiveDrive. The real name of the service is Windows Live Folders and it may be in the spotlight soon but in beta stage.

Windows Live Folders

Windows Live Folders website is said to have come online for a preview showing the slogan “Password-protected online file storage. Always available where you need it” but the actual Beta service of Windows Live Folders is still on a hold. The files will not be stored on the hard drive rather in the cloud which can be accessed from anywhere in the world just using a browser.

Why Use Microsoft Live Folders ?

The question is that with other huge unlimited online file sharing services why would users be more attracted to Microsoft Live Folders. Here is the answer:

500MB Storage Space

Microsoft will allow a maximum of 500MB storage space to any Windows Live user account holder. The files can be uploaded via Internet Explorer or Firefox browser and can be made public or private according to the user choice.

Microsoft still provides no details on how will this new service be like and when it is going to be launched but it is assumed that the service will be free and will allow a paid account upgrade.
