
Long ago just near the release of Windows Vista rumors started to dominate the web about the next big Microsoft operating system after Windows Vista. Some people had the view that Windows Vista may be the last heir of the Windows Operating System family and that Microsoft may probably give birth to a new family of Operating System but all these rumors were proved false soon when the talks for Windows Vienna rolled in.

What new features can we expect in Windows Vienna?
Microsoft hasn’t publicly committed to any features for Vienna and the company is currently still deciding what this next Windows release will look like. We do know a few things about Vienna, however: It will include a new version of Windows Explorer that is being built by the same team that designed the Ribbon user interface in Office 2007. It will likely include some form of the “Hypervisor” (Windows Virtualization) technologies that will ship shortly after Windows Server “Longhorn”. It will also likely include the WinFS (Windows Future Storage) technologies, though they won’t be packaged or branded as WinFS.
















Hmm, this is interesting. Where’d you get your information? For instance, I was not aware that Vienna would be the final name. I assumed the codename was being changed and nothing more.
Jake I collected all the information from miscellaneous sources all over the web. The information is accurate as for now but we never know because Microsoft can do anything to their products anytime they like.

Nick The operating system is still under development. If Microsoft releases some public screenshots of the operating system I will definitely publish them.
