I recommend this software because it's free for one and secondly because the interface is very easy to use for a beginner or experienced modeler. Also it imports so many other file types. So if your modeling in Rhino or even Autocad you can export objects into Bryce and let it add its stock textures and great landscapes to your project. Theres tons of free textures and objects online thats what really opens this program up. Just have to search :) I use a lot of 3d modeling and rendering programs.
