
The Internet is becoming full of webware or in other words web 2.0 apps and it is really hard to decide which of these services are the most unique ones and deserve awards. Keeping this in mind the guys at Webware decided to kick-off the first user-generated web 2.0 awards program called as the Webware 100
The Winners of Webware 2007 Awards
Finally congrats to all the Winners of Webware 100 Awards. The users were given a time of almost 20 days in which they were allowed to vote for any one webware app in each category. The Webware 100 had 10 categories and 10 winners were to be announced under each category which means that it was a basic hunt to discover the 100 best and most popular Webware services as voted by the users. There were almost 5,000 nominations with over 489,467 votes casted which made up a list of 250 finalists.
Google Owns The Webware 100 Awards
Google simply owned the Webware 100 Awards by getting no less than 15 awards in almost each of the 10 different categories.
Other noticeable award winners of the Webware 100 Awards are Wordpress, FeedBurner, Firefox, Gmail, YouTube, Wikipedia and many more
