I was pleased to see major improvements on YouTube's side but this news has totally stunned me. Personally I really liked the recent innovations made by YouTube in its design as well in introducing new features and concepts to the YouTube community and I admire the new step taken by Google to make YouTube a world wide video village.
YouTube To Go For 9 New DomainsĀ
Official Google Blog reports that due to the huge amount of appreciation and considerable traffic received from countries outside the United States, Google has finally planned to release the biggest video community in 9 more languages. Today at a Google press event in Paris, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen are announcing the launch of nine new domains in Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Ireland, and the UK.
YouTube Multilingual FeaturesĀ
The new localized versions of YouTube are said be fully translated in their respective language and will have totally localized features such as Featured Videos, Director Videos, Promotions. Other changes have been made to interface, search, user support, and such community features as video ratings, sharing, and content flagging.
This is a huge step taken by Google in making the video community an International video village and no doubt soon YouTube is going to break some records.
