If you are a regular reader of this blog you might remember that once I mentioned about Windows Live Folders which is an online storage service provided by Microsoft. The rumor is no longer a rumor and TechCrunch reports that Microsoft has announced the release of two new betas in its range of Windows Live Services namely Windows Live Folders and Windows Live Gallery Beta.
Windows Live Folders Beta
Previously Windows Live Folders were known as "Live Drive" The new service will offer 500MB of online storage space to a selected group of beta testers and is managed on a whole new computing infrastructure.
The new service will be pretty much the same as any online storage service. Users will be able to upload files through a form or ActiveX control and the users will be able to mark the files as private or public in order to keep the files safe or share them with other users.

Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta
This is the second new beta launched by Microsoft. This is just a modification to the original Photo Gallery software by Microsoft made for Vista and XP. This is a very simple Gallery software that lets you add, edit and organize photos. You can even upload photos to your Live Spaces account. The photos will be available through the new Windows Mobile Live 6 and an ActiveX control will enable users to securely grant access to their photos for third party sites to use. You can also stitch together different photos taken from different view points.

Nice review but i couldn’t download the Windows Live Photo Gallery seems the link is broken
Microsoft Live SkyDrive / Live Folders is an excellent idea. This blog shares all the cool features. Plus recent addition of 25 GB space makes it very alluring to use. But I could not find any desktop gadget or online widget or Adobe AIR app or Live Silverlight uploaded for this Sky Drive.
Is something like that do exists? Really interesting to know.
Thanks for these cool stuff. I could not move away from your blog. Just reading past from one blog post to another. Cool job. Keep it up.
Appreciated !!!
