Get FeedBurner Stats Pro for Free

Back in June Google acquired FeedBurner and this acquisition indeed brought smiles to the face of those bloggers who love both Google and FeedBurner. It was really great to see the merge of two big companies. Personally I hoped that Google will definitely bring something new to FeedBurner users after acquiring the big company and to my delight it has finally come true.

Google Makes FeedBurner Services Free

FeedBurner has officially announced that from now onwards FeedBurner users can use FeedBurner Stats Pro and and FeedBurner MyBrand absolutely for free and at no additional costs. They were the most popular premium FeedBurner services but thanks to Google now they are free for every user.

FeedBurner Stats Pro

This used to be a premium FeedBurner service but now it is available for free. The service gives detailed statistics including subscriber numbers, item clickthrough tracking, podcast downloads and aggregate item uses amongst other features.

You can access it through your "My Feeds" dashboard in your FeedBurner account.

MyBrand Pro

This was the other premium service offered by FeedBurner which is now available to all FeedBurner users absolutely at no cost. MyBrand lets you point your domain at FeedBurner, so the feed and all related resources (stats tracking, ads, stylesheets, etc) are located at your domain instead of ours. Means you no longer need to have a FeedBurner feed url for your feed e.g. (http://feeds.feedburner.com/sizlopedia)

You can enable this feature under your "My Account" dashboard in your FeedBurner account.

FeedBurner PRO and MyBrand accounts will not be billed effective from June. Although the services are now free, Feedburner users are required to “upgrade” to them from within the Feedburner control panel.

  • Google surely has a big liking for stats tool and by making this tool free for all publishers Google has once again proved that it is the best

    I love Google :P
  • Hey Dj,

That's great news, hadn't heard about it myself yet.

We were actually paying for feedburner totalstats, so I'll go in and make sure they're not billing us anymore. :-)

    Thanks!
    Dan
  • After a tough rehab, i am no longer addicted to stats :) But indeed, i concur with Mr Shankar and Mr Brown, this is excellent news.
  • Good move by Google. Stats - I'm also addicted.
