I wonder what will happen to the Internet Industry in the coming few years. Google is acquiring companies at such a high frequency that it looks one day Google will take over the whole web. Keeping up with its high pace traditions Google has finally managed to acquire another company.
Official: Google Aquires GrandCentral
TechCrunch reported back in June that Google may acquire GrandCentral Communications for $50 million however this was not confirm that Google finally revealed about the acquisition on the Official Google Blog.
GrandCentral Has a Lot To Offer
GrandCentral Communications is a company which provides services for managing your voice communications. GrandCentral lets its users integrate all of their existing phone numbers and voice mailboxes into one account which can be accessed from the web. I must say Google made a good shot as this will add to more of what Google calls "Collaborative Information Sharing Between Users".
Google shall soon be moving the service to Google networks. You can get hold of your GrandCentral Beta account if you have a U.S phone number. Just head over to GrandCentral and grab your beta invite.
