For a moment I was so happy considering the fact that the Apple iPhone hype might have probably ended and that no longer I would have to see the Internet full of iPhone news junk but at the very last minute I came across a breaking news that will surely add more to this junk.
8 GB iPhone Price is now only $399
Yay! Its true! The 8 GB Apple iPhone will now cost only $399 and the production of 4GB Apple iPhones has been stopped but shall be shipped to the market until the old supply lasts. Apple announced this recently as a result of the low market sale of the 4GB Apple iPhones and also to give the iPhone more heat and exposure. Previously the 8 GB iPhone had a sale price of $599 so one can really say that Apple is being generous enough by cutting off $200.
Perhaps thats not all as we will be seeing more Apple news and gadgets soon.

Aah… Wow… its even awesome… we can buy it now…
Its under a budget now!!
First, I have not bought an Iphone. But, that said, I think a $200 price drop like this is just a kick in the twins for those who went out and bought the thing for $599. Just goes to show that Apple, in my opinion, really does not respect their customer all that much. They use keen marketing to convince people to throw down $600 for a phone, then turn around and screw them.
Yay for those who haven’t bought one. Crap for those who have.
Hey David, you’re definitely right, but (there’s always a but)…
I think Apple does good devices if compared to other brand (the iphone should not be compared to pdas, it’s another thingy) but what’s wrong with it is all the marketing stuff.
They didn’t kick anyone in the ass. They thought they had produced something so brilliant that they could sell it for a price higher than its real value. The device is fuckin’cool but its technical aspects are not, therefore, after the first day of euphoria, people discovered that 600$ for such a device were maybe too much. Hence they lowered the price…
I still prefer pdas. I’m not a fashione victim. At least I hope so.
Yeh it is a rule of the market then when a company releases a device the starting sale price is always greater than the actual worth of the device. This is to ensure that the company does not take any loss.
Apple did the same and when eventually they found out that iPhone was after all not such an amazing device they just lowered the prices.
For me iPhone is still not-so-cool. I would prefer an I-Mate or Nokia N95 over it.
