Definitely great ideas!

Few comments, sometimes having text-only ads make units blend better more often resulting in higher CTR, so be sure to test both.

First tip is truly priceless, took a long time to figure out on my own.

It means to turn your channels into advertising placement opportunities for advertisers. This way advertisers can directly advertise on your site using Google Adwords and similarly you make more money.

To do so just login to your Google Adsense account, go to ‘Adsense Setup’ then ‘Channels’ and Click ‘Edit Settings’ in front of the channel that you want to turn into ad placement.

Just make sure to check the box infront of

Show this channel to advertisers as an ad placement

Fill the necessary details and you are good to go.

Didn’t quite catch what is meant by:

Turn your custom channels into ad placements. These ad placements will allow you to highlight specific sections of your site that may appeal to advertisers.

Could you explain it a bit?
