Vista has DX10 (a huge thing for a Flight Sim buff like myself) and a search that is faster than even apple's newest search engine! A lot of vista security enhancement, tools and developers frameworks were released to work with XP...I'm not saying they didn't need to support, but they certainly didn't need to make XP so powerful (SP2 really shows that).
