I guess this is the 2nd or 3rd time that I am officially announcing a new design and layout for Sizlopedia. Usually I keep on testing new designs and themes for this blog but I never declare them through a post but this new layout is definitely worth the mention.
Sizlopedia 3.0 intends to give the blog a more professional and tech look. As everyone knows that this blog focuses on Technology, Internet, Software and Gadgets so I thought it would be nice if I can make a main page where all the content comes syndicated and in a beautifully presented manner.
Plus the new layout gives the blog the look of a Technology Magazine and the impression of being over crowded with useless advertisements is no longer there.
Many users and some of my friend bloggers think that this new layout is a heavily modded form of the Revolution Tech Theme by Brian Gardner which is really a big misconception.
Though the Revolution Tech Theme was my original inspiration for this new layout but I never bought it rather I coded this new layout from scratch in 14 hours time continuous (Even no Coffee breaks). Plus I made a full admin panel to manage all aspects of this new theme. I currently have no plans of making this theme free for download but you can expect that in the coming months.
I hope my readers like the new layout. All sort of criticism, comments and suggestions are welcome.
Sizlopedia is the creation of Saad Hamid, a tech enthusiast from Pakistan who started this blog in 2007.

DJ the theme looks very good. I have few suggestions if you don’t mind. Front page looks nice with different sections, but some posts repeat more than once in recent posts section and also on category sections, you can get rid of this. The second thing I noticed is when you go to archives like this page 2 I expect the page should display only posts with out featured sections, if that is the way you wanted then its okay. The other thing is that the sidebar recent posts section what is it exactly is it hard coded featured posts or what?
Wow, I love the look that this gives the site. Now it truly seems like a reputable source of information.

Ram I really like your suggestion dude. I will work on it and regarding the recent posts in the sidebar well they are not hard coded rather they are dynamically generated through a PHP function call.
That is a list of the recent posts with an offset of 6 (It was made so to not have multiple same posts on the homepage) but I will change it for he sidebar alone using another PHP function.

Great theme DJ, I too agree with Ram, some posts are repeated in the front page, if you can correct those, then its the perfect theme.

Wow, this is pretty slick. I’ve been a big fan of magazine themes since I’ve learned of them earlier this year. It gives me the itch to try one for my blog.
