Recently I bought a Nokia N95 8gb and one of my top priorities for a mobile phone was to be able to post on my MicroBlog and secondly to check my emails and Messenger contacts while on the go. But once I bought the N95 at once I tried out the Nokia Life Blog but sadly Life Blog wasn’t able to post on my Wordpress Blog so I started searching the Internet for a plugin which can help me fix this problem and there it was, Phone Boy Blog edited some original files from some German website and finally made it compatible with the latest version of Wordpress 2.3. Now I will explain to you how can you Post to your Wordpress Blog straight from Nokia Life Blog application.
- First Step you have to download lifeblog.zip which contains the main lifeblog.php file and another atomdata.txt File.
- After you have downloaded the zip Package unzip it and upload the both files to root of your Wordpress installation which means if your blog is at sample.com/blog you have to upload these files in the /blog folder or if your blog is at the root sample.com upload both of these files to the root of your Wordpress installation.
- Once these files have been uploaded you have to give them 777 permissions to both of these files.
- Now you open the lifeblog.php file and look for $passwordlist[’Username‘] = ‘password‘; and replace the Username with your Wordpress username and Password with your Wordpress Password. This means only this user will have the ability to post from Nokia Life Blog if you want to let other users to psot from Life Blog too you must add / replace the other similar lines given in the file.
- Then make sure that the wp-content/uploads directory is writable ( with 777 permissions ) because that’s where the pictures or videos will be uploaded if published with Life Blog.
- For the last configure your Nokia Life Blog with these settings.
- Username: admin (whatever username you specify in lifeblog.php)
- Password: (whatever password you specify in lifeblog.php)
- Server Address: http://www.yourwordpressblog.com/lifeblog.php
and that’s it, Enjoy your Nokia Life Blog with your Wordpress Blog. Well it worked for me if it doesn’t you can post any problems or questions here.

It doesn’t work for me unfortunately. Everything goes well, but for the exception that the phone keep saying, item is posting (or to be posted) and keeps saying that till I stop it/cancel it.
The item is not posted but when I ftp to the upload directory the photos are posted there but not shown on the website.
Any help? Kind regards.

Nothing works… my nokia seems not working at all (to check my website to send the lifeblog data)… no reaction… there’s just… “no connection possible” I tried to get on the internet with my nokia… no prob at all.
I’m upgrading my nokia right now… maybe a config problem…
on my N95 with last update (grey version) no blogs found for any account… is that normal ?
