No matter how hard you struggle to write a good quality and well versed post, the end decision lies in the hands of your readers to judge exactly how well the post really is.

You might have seen those star rating widgets on most of the blogs which allow readers to rate blog posts individually (on your blog or through your blog RSS). OutBrain offers one similar star rating widget plugin for Wordpress blogs and Feeds that will allow your blog readers to rate your articles.
Unlike other ratings widgets, this plugin does not show any logo and does not use any kind of link marketing strategy. It is free to use and very easy to install.
Get OutBrain Ratings widget for Wordpress
- Unzip the wp_outbrain.zip file into your WordPress plugin directory.
- In your WordPress admin site, go to the ‘Plugins’ page.
- Activate the outbrain plugin.
- Go to Options -> Outbrain and select your language.
Similarly you can allow your feed subscribers to rate your posts through an RSS reader using the OutBrain Feedflare. Just follow these steps to integrate the ratings widget to your blog Feed.
OutBrain Ratings widget for Feed Subscribers
- Go to your FeedFlare dashboard (choose Optimize -> FeedFlare from the feedburner dashboard).
- On the bottom of the select list there is a section called “Personal FeedFlare” with a text box.
- There, paste the following URL: http://widgets.outbrain.com/FeedFlareUnit.xml and click “Add New Flare”.
- Don’t forget to press “Save” at the bottom of the page.
The plugin works very clean and adds more to your blog design. I have currently enabled it on Sizlopedia so you can even check it out for yourself by rating this post
If you have a blog hosted on some other platform e.g. TypePad, Blogger etc then you can go to OutBrain directly and get the suitable ratings widget code for your blog.

Rating system. I am gonna try this on my blog.
Hey thanks, after reading a couple of blog posts here I was wondering about the star rating system. It is very slick, I am going to try this out, thanks alot for letting us know about this plugin.
Sometimes people don’t feel like commenting, so it would be nice to know what people think of your posts, and they can do this with a simply click of a star.
Well, this is a really great tool, unless you have both AdBrite and Google ads on your blog.I installed it, but I had to remove it because it confused my ads! I know why, Onbrain widget use Amazon ads, actually - hidden. Hope I helped you, if you have the same problem.
But sadly, it is not XHTML compliant.
I have a blog on Blogspot and recently had this Rating widget appear on my blog (have no idea how it got there) I would like to know how to delete it, can you help?
Thanks
