Nokmote (Beta 1) is now available for Download

nokmote.gif Nokmote is an application built by Samir specially for the Nokia N95 (S60 3rd) edition phones. It allows you to use your Nokia N95 mobile as a Wiimote with motion sensing. It makes use of the Accelerometer motion sensing plugin which comes built-in with Nokia N95 classic and 8GB editions.

Samir is now famous over the Internet for creating and distributing freeware symbian applications that work on the Nokia N95 Accelerometer. Previously he created an application called RotateMe which allows you to switch your Nokia N95 between landscape and portrait modes just by rotating it (Like the iPhone) and now he is busy creating a new application called ShutUp about which I will be discussing in one of my upcoming posts.

Fortunately the Nokmote Beta 1 is now available for download from the link below but the unfortunate part is that it is unsigned and you will have to sign it for your phone IMEI to get the application working.

I managed to sign the app for my Nokia N95 and then tried it. It is really amazing except for the fact that the beta is still buggy and has high sensitivity making it difficult to use.

I shall be discussing the process to sign a .sis file to use on your mobile in my next post and don’t forget to take a look at all Accelerometer applications and games for Nokia N95.

For those of you who want to see the application in action on a Nokia N95, just watch the video below and enjoy :D

Certificate is expired :(

For all those getting the certificate expired error please read the post carefully.

You need to sign the application yourself in order to use it on your mobile phone.

Here is a tutorial on how to sign the application

http://www.sizlopedia.com/2007/12/29/how-to-sign-sis-files-for-your-mobile-imei/

and please don’t post comments asking to sign the app for your IMEI because I would simply delete such comments.

If you want to sign your apps, forget the SymbianSigned website. I have now followed the following procedure for both Rotateme and Nokmote and it works like a charm.

Hello.
Some one can give me signed nokmote.
i dont know how to do it and i neeed a help.

Damien

Hey all.
First of all, you don’t need to sign if you hack your phone.
This is a legal and safe process. Google it or become a member of symbian-freak.com to learn how. Don’t ask me!

Second thing is, do NOT put your EMAI out there. Anyone can use it and clone your phone. And you can have some unwanted problems.

Mik

I get a certificate error when I try to install the Nokmote, Full Screen Caller and ShakeMe. Please can anyone help me?
