I will be getting an iPod Touch soon (most probably in the coming week) so I was doing some research about installing different applications on my iPod Touch and luckily I found a bunch of tips and tricks and some hacks that might come in handy to other iPod Touch owners. Install iPhone apps on iPod Touch Installer les applications iPhone sur l'iPod Touch

The process is really simple and assumes that you have a jailbroken iPod Touch. Le processus est très simple et suppose que vous avez un iPod Touch jailbreakés. Now to get the iPhone apps on your iPod Touch, just follow these steps: Maintenant pour obtenir les applications de l'iPhone sur votre iPod Touch, il suffit de suivre ces étapes:

  1. Open install.app (installer application) from the home menu of your iPod Touch and tap "sources" on the bottom menu. Install.app Open (Application Installer) à partir du menu d'accueil de votre iPod Touch et tapez sur "sources" dans le menu en bas.
  2. Tap edit and then tap add. Appuyez sur Modifier puis sur Ajouter.

  4. Tap done and then tap refresh. Appuyez sur Terminé puis sur Actualiser.
  5. Tap "Install" on the bottom menu of the Installer and scroll down with your finger until you see "iPhone 1.1.1 Apps for iPod Touch" and "iPhone 1.1.2 Apps for iPod Touch". Appuyez sur "Install" dans le menu en bas de l'installateur et le défilement avec le doigt jusqu'à ce que «1.1.1 iPhone Apps for iPod Touch" et "iPhone 1.1.2 Apps for iPod Touch".   6. Once on the iPhone apps menu, Install the "Prep" packages before you install anything else.     What I wanted to say through that sentence was that its better for people to buy an iPod Touch than buying an unlocked or hacked iPhone. Ce que je voulais dire par cette phrase que son mieux pour les gens d'acheter un iPod Touch que l'achat d'un iPhone débloqué ou piraté.

    I don't have that Installer application on my iPod Touch; it's less then a week old and it seems everything (such as the iPhone apps) begins from this installer application I do not have.     There isn'ta mail app for 1.1.1 but there is the prep. Il n'ya pas de mail app pour 1.1.1, mais il ya la prép. The other way is to transfer a copy from my computer which I have but I don't know how to work winSCP.     By the way to get iPhone apps on your iPod Touch you need to hack/jailbreak your iPod Touch.     Yup. Yup. Sad to say that there is no source for the Iphone apps. C'est triste à dire qu'il n'ya pas de source pour les applications de l'iPhone. None that I could find. Pas que j'ai pu trouver. I suppose you could do it the old way and SSH them in, but that takes FOREVER and is a real PITA. You could use one of the 1.1.3 jailbreak methods. Vous pouvez utiliser une des méthodes 1.1.3 jailbreak. I think the source for the 1.1.3 apps are still up.     Ok...i no what i am doing...you can only go to the website ( Ok ... je ne ce que je fais ... vous ne pouvez aller sur le site ( www.jailbreakme.com www.jailbreakme.com ) if u have firmware 1.1.1 if not you have to go to YouTube to do it. ) Si u avoir un firmware 1.1.1 si vous n'avez pas à aller sur YouTube pour le faire. You can also downgrade to 1.1.1 because that is the easiest thing to do. Vous pouvez revenir à 1.1.1 aussi parce que c'est la chose la plus facile à faire.

    What are you talking about? Qu'est-ce que tu racontes? SSHing them in takes 10 minutes, tops. Eux dans l'exécution de ssh prend 10 minutes, tops. Just SSH in, drag and drop the apps into Applications, and the frameworks and preference files.     My iPod touch is already jailbroken with firmware 1.1.1 but for some reason when I download something off of the installer it wont work. Mon iPod touch est déjà jailbreaké avec un firmware 1.1.1, mais pour une raison quelconque, lorsque je télécharge quelque chose hors de l'installateur it wont work. It will just close as its updating. Il sera aussi proche de son actualisation. I never used to have this problem. Je n'ai pas l'habitude d'avoir ce problème. I cant even get any apps anymore as the installer app just shuts down. I cant get même une quelconque application de plus que la PPA installateur s'arrête juste en bas. Usually, I would have to slide to unlock but now nothing works! Habituellement, il faudrait que je slide to unlock, mais maintenant plus rien ne fonctionne!

    You cant hack the iPod Touch to be used as a phone because the iPod doesn't have a microphone. Vous ne pouvez pas pirater le iPod Touch d'être utilisé comme un téléphone car l'iPod ne possède pas de microphone.
