An excellent site with which to try out and set up AdBlock Plus. I can now see your pages without any ads. Thank you.

To recommend disabling Javascript to block ads is terrible advice. Javascript is used to do a lot more than just serve ads (e.g. flyout navigation, photo galleries, embedding activex objects). In a perfect world all sites would be Javascript independent but that is far from the case. Thousands of websites REQUIRE it, so while disabling Javascript may block the majority of ads it will likely lead to problems viewing the majority of the content you want to see as well.

No script (to disable JS) is really great extension for Firefox. But some time bad because disabling all JS causes errors in some sites.

[laugh] I just thought it was funny -- the tips were good, but gosh those ads are tough to look at. :)

By the way, the Nuke Anything Enhanced extension is also a great tool for removing annoying ads.

(And yes, I clicked on yours. :)

lol Yes I certainly do know its meaning. The point is that I never claimed Sizlopedia to be ad-free. If you think that ads on Sizlopedia annoy you then you can simply subscribe to the RSS feeds instead.

The post was basically to help you with something. Compared to many sites out there, Sizlopedia does not have that much ads on it.
