This was a bad news for all of the YouTube fans here as they are now not able to upload or watch any of the YouTube videos. No one knew that the YouTube-Ban which was supposedly meant for all of the users of Pakistan would accidentally result in a 1 hour big downtime of YouTube across the whole globe. Several sources are reporting that the YouTube downtime caused by Pakistan was the result of a possibly accidental hijack of YouTube IP Space via BGP. Official word from the Pakistani Government states that YouTube has been banned in Pakistan because it contains “blasphemous content, videos and documents” however that may not only be the reason. There is another assumption that the Pak Government might have banned YouTube because of some videos being uploaded to YouTube expose some of the strong political parties. i think that any government that shuts down an entire website in fear should be to blame. If someone is interested in watching YouTube he will do it anyway despite the ban. Se alguém estiver interessado em assistir YouTube ele vai fazê-lo mesmo assim, apesar da proibição. I am not sure what purpose it will serve to impose a ban and then lift it in a day or two (except to allow others to “praise” you).
