Adobe AIR is a technology invented by Adobe that allows developers to bring web applications to desktop. Previously, the applications which could only be used inside a browser are now capable of running directly through your desktop all thanks to Adobe AIR. This has created a new Web 2.0 wave where the desktop is now powered with web applications and widgets.

Adobe has created an official Adobe AIR Marketplace (beta) which aims to enlist all of the Adobe AIR applications and widgets. Though all applications are useful but some are just impossible to live without. Here is my pick of the 10 Most Useful Adobe AIR Applications.

1. Google Analytics Reporting Suite (Install)

The Google Analytics reporting suite brings Google Analytics to the desktop.

2. Klok (Install)

Klok is a personal time tracking application that makes it easy for anyone working on multiple clients, projects or tasks to keep track of their hours. In contrast to many time entry applications, Klok is meant for those of us who want to press a button when we start working and another when we stop.

3. Spaz (Install)

Spaz is a free, award-winning Twitter client for the Adobe AIR platform, offering notable features such as access to direct messages and replies, CSS theming, and event sounds.
