I am sure that most of you who use Wordpress as their blogging CMS would have probably seen the Wordpress Bookmarklet at the bottom of their "Write Post" page.

The interesting fact is that almost all Wordpress users know or have seen the Wordpress Bookmarklet but only very few know its actual use. Today I decided to play with some of the hidden/less-known features of Wordpress and was amazed to find out that how beneficial the Wordpress Bookmarklet can really be.
It can be used for fast and easy posting and in case you use Wordpress as a microblogging platform then this is the best Wordpress treat you can ever have. Here is how to use it:
Under the "Wordpress Bookmarklet" section of your "Write Post" page, click and drag the link and save it on your bookmarks toolbar. Now whenever you visit a page that you want to blog about, simply highlight some text from the page and click the Wordpress Bookmarklet in your bookmarks toolbar (This will automatically copy the text and heading of the page to your Wordpress editor). Hit Publish and enjoy!
That saved your time and also helped you publish your article within a matter of seconds. I don't know how many Wordpress users already know about this but it was a very interesting feature of Wordpress that I recently discovered.

Sizlopedia is a technology blog created by Saad Hamid, a problogger from Pakistan.
It does not copy the text but only the link to the post but may be I am at a earlier version of wordpress.
