I know how hard it is to keep a PC safe from viruses and trojans as nearly every USB stick carries some undetectable and auto-multiplying virus. Ik weet hoe moeilijk het is om een pc te beschermen tegen virussen en trojans, zoals bijna elke USB-stick te houden voert een aantal niet-detecteerbare en auto-virus vermenigvuldigen. Especially in university, where I have to constantly exchange USB sticks, it becomes hard to keep my USB stick safe and clean. Mostly the viruses that multiply through USB sticks use the autorun function of USB as it does not require any user confirmation and runs secretly in the background, unlike a CD or DVD. Meestal worden de virussen die vermenigvuldigen door middel van USB-sticks gebruik maken van de autorun functie van USB als het geen bevestiging van de gebruiker vereisen en loopt het geheim op de achtergrond, in tegenstelling tot een CD of DVD.

The best way to keep USB viruses from injecting themselves to your PC or laptop is to Disable the USB Autorun feature and I will teach you how to do it. De beste manier om USB-virussen te houden van het injecteren zelf op uw pc of laptop aan op de USB Autorun-functie uit te schakelen en ik zal je leren hoe het te doen.

  1. Click the Start button, then Run and enter "gpedit.msc" without the quotes Klik op de knop Start, vervolgens op Uitvoeren en typ 'gpedit.msc "zonder de aanhalingstekens
  2. Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System Ga naar Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System
  3. Scroll down to "Turn off Autoplay" and double click on it Scroll naar beneden naar "Schakel Autoplay" en dubbelklik op het
  4. Click on the "Enabled" radio button, then for "Turn off Autoplay on" select "All drives" Klik op de "Enabled" radio knop, vervolgens voor "Schakel Autoplay op" selecteer "Alle drives"

This will now prevent any virus from auto executing itself through a USB drive. Dit zal nu voorkomen dat het virus van de auto zelf uitvoeren via een USB-drive.   • Thank you very much. Hartelijk dank. I alwasy fear to put my USB stick on university computers but now I can do it safely without fear. Ik altijd bang om mijn USB-stick gezet op universitaire computers, maar nu kan ik veilig kan doen zonder angst.
  • In hostels, it is very important the disable Autorun as the main culprit of virus infection is the autorun.inf file. In de hostels is het zeer belangrijk is de Autorun uitschakelen als de hoofdschuldige van het virus infectie is het autorun.inf-bestand.

    gpedit.msc is not available in WinXP home edition. gpedit.msc is niet beschikbaar in WinXP Home Edition. So I wrote about how to disable it from registry. Dus schreef ik over hoe te om het uitschakelen van de registry.

    How do I do it if step no.1 does not work, I click the start button, clicked on run and typed gpedit.msc and the computer said that there was no file, is there an alternate way to turn it off? Hoe doe ik het als no.1 stap niet werkt, ik klik op de knop Start, klikte op rennen en getypt gpedit.msc en de computer zegt dat er geen bestand, is er een alternatieve manier om het uit te zetten?

    this method only prevents launching the virus when the usb storage is inserted. Deze methode voorkomt dat alleen de lancering van het virus bij de usb-opslag wordt geplaatst. thats it. thats it.

    but when you double-click on drive letter of usb flash, autorun.inf then runs, and the virus is launched. maar wanneer u dubbelklikt op stationsletter van de USB flash, autorun.inf draait dan, en het virus wordt gelanceerd.

    If System template is missing, right click on "Administrative templates", select "Add/Remove templates…", then click on Add, choose System.adm, click on Open, then close. Als System sjabloon ontbreekt, klik met de rechtermuisknop op "Administratieve sjablonen", selecteer "Add / Remove templates ...", klik op Toevoegen, kies System.adm, klik op Openen, vervolgens sluiten. Now you'll see System under Administrative templates. Nu kun je System ziet onder Administrative templates.
