The good news for iPhone and iPod Touch owners is that Adobe has started development of a Flash player suitable for use on iPhone and iPod Touch. Het goede nieuws voor iPhone en iPod Touch bezitters is dat Adobe de ontwikkeling van een Flash-speler geschikt voor gebruik op de iPhone en iPod Touch is begonnen. It was recently announced by Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe Systems and Technologies. Het werd onlangs aangekondigd door Shantanu Narayen, CEO van Adobe Systems and Technologies.

It is good to know that after almost an year of release of the iPhone, someone has finally given consideration to this. Het is goed om te weten dat na bijna een jaar van de release van de iPhone, heeft iemand eindelijk aandacht aan dit. Narayen explained that the release of the new iPhone SDK has made it possible to provide necessary tools that are required to create a touch-handset version of the popular Flash media player. Narayen legde uit dat de release van de nieuwe iPhone SDK heeft het mogelijk gemaakt om de nodige hulpmiddelen die nodig zijn om een touch-handset versie van de populaire Flash-mediaspeler te maken bieden.

Back in the first week of this month, Steve Jobs announced at the Apple Shareholder meeting that Flash for the iPhone will not be seeing the world soon. Terug in de eerste week van deze maand, kondigde Steve Jobs op de Apple aandeelhoudersvergadering dat Flash voor de iPhone niet zal zien van de wereld snel. That announcement and the one made by Narayen today suggest that Flash for iPhone is a controversial subject for both the companies. Deze aankondiging en het oordeel van Narayen vandaag suggereren dat Flash voor de iPhone is een controversieel onderwerp, zowel voor de bedrijven.

It is expected that Flash for the iPhone will make through into the next firmware release of iPhone ie iPhone 2.0. De verwachting is dat Flash voor de iPhone zullen maken door in de volgende firmware release van de iPhone dwz iPhone 2.0. However Apple requires that all third-party software be released as standalone applications rather than as plug-ins which, in the case of Adobe Flash, is kind of a big no-no. Apple is echter vereist dat alle software van derden worden vrijgegeven als zelfstandige toepassingen en niet als plug-ins die in het geval van Adobe Flash, is een soort van een grote no-no.

Ok, if it does get Flash, that pretty much decides it for me between that and the Storm. Ok, als het toch Flash, dat vrij veel beslist het voor mij tussen die en de Storm.

That being said, Steve Jobs continues to shoot himself in the foot with this unwillingness to work with other people. Dat gezegd zijnde, Steve Jobs nog steeds schieten zichzelf in de voet met deze onwil om te werken met andere mensen. Does he recall the fact that it was this same desire to keep a tight grip on absolutely every aspect of his stuff that put Apple at such a low market share for what, 10 years? I hope they get flash on touch. Ik hoop dat ze flash krijgen op aanraking. I could watch flash on new grounds then. Ik kon kijken flash vervolgens op nieuwe gronden. A lot of people would like the flash application and would buy it for that reason. Veel mensen willen de flash applicatie en zou het kopen om die reden.

I am glad they are trying to do something but they need to hurry up. Ik ben blij dat ze proberen om iets te doen, maar ze moeten opschieten. And a lot of people would download it for there iTouch so I don't see what the problem is. En veel mensen zouden downloaden er iTouch, dus ik zie niet in wat het probleem is.

Flash is one of the top applications on the web today. Flash is een van de top applicaties op het web vandaag. It's a great way to display a link (esp. for email contact) without subjecting it to spam harvesters. Het is een geweldige manier om een link (vooral voor e-mail contact met elkaar) zonder te onderwerpen aan oogstmachines spam. It beats the crap out of any other animation or vector graphics app anywhere. Hij verslaat de stront van een andere animatie of vector graphics app overal. Most websites use flash liberally for a number of reasons (it's all over mine). De meeste websites maken gebruik van flash royaal voor een aantal redenen (het is allemaal meer dan de mijne). Why bother giving us a web browser without it? Waarom moeite geeft ons een web browser, zonder dat?

Not having or allowing Adobe's Flash come with Iphone/Ipod is like opening a drug store without pain killers. Niet gezien of als Adobe's Flash komen met Iphone / Ipod is als het openen van een drug store zonder pijnstillers. Duh. Duh. But I guess a lousy 400mhz CPU is too blame. Maar ik denk dat een waardeloze 400MHz CPU is te wijten. Heck, 5 years ago I bought a Dell Axim pocket pc with a 633mhz CPU (just enought to decode a Divx on the fly). Heck, 5 jaar geleden kocht ik een Dell Axim Pocket PC met een 633mhz CPU (net enought om een Divx on the fly decoderen).

So many developers use Flash, even I could offer many web apps for Iphone if Flash was useable. Zo veel ontwikkelaars gebruiken Flash, zelfs ik kon bieden veel web apps voor Iphone als Flash bruikbaar was.

I refuse to buy an Ipod or Iphone until full Flash is useable and the CPU is higher than a 400mhz (should be at least 633mhz to keep up with 5 year old Pocket PCs). Ik weiger om een iPod of iPhone te kopen tot de volledige Flash is bruikbaar en de CPU hoger is dan een 400MHz (moet minimaal 633mhz te houden met 5 jaar oud Pocket PC's).
