How to Install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu Wie Installieren von Adobe AIR unter Ubuntu

Adobe Technologies released the Linux version of Adobe AIR some weeks ago which brings web applications and widgets to your desktop. Adobe Technologies veröffentlicht die Linux-Version von Adobe AIR, die vor einigen Wochen bringt Web-Applikationen und Widgets auf Ihren Desktop. Installing new applications on a Linux distribution is always a mystery for newbies so here is a guide that teaches you how to install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu.   1. Open the Terminal Öffnen Sie das Terminal
  2. Download the file from here using the wget command: Laden Sie die Datei von hier aus mit dem wget Befehl ein:
    http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/1.5/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/1.5/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  3. The name of the file is AdobeAIRInstaller.bin Der Name der Datei ist AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  4. Save the file in the Home folder (Places > Home Folder) Speichern Sie die Datei im Home-Ordner (Places> Home Folder)
  5. Run this command: Führen Sie diesen Befehl ein:
    chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  6. Now run this command: Nun führen Sie folgenden Befehl:
    sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

The normal installer will open, install it. Die normale Installer wird geöffnet, installieren Sie sie. From now whenever you download a .air file, just double click it and it will be installed. Ab sofort, wenn Sie eine. Luft-Datei, klicken Sie einfach doppelt, und es installiert wird.

    Just one thing at step 6 "sudo ./ adobeair_etc" should be "sudo ./adobeair_etc" just remove the extra space otherwise if you copy and paste it is not gonna work Just one thing in Schritt 6 "sudo. / Adobeair_etc" soll "sudo. / Adobeair_etc" entfernen Sie einfach das zusätzlichen Platz ansonsten, wenn du kopieren und fügen Sie ihn Ain't Gonna Work

  • Having same problem as Ronald. Nachdem dasselbe Problem wie Ronald. Same Distro and on a turion64 HP DV2000 laptop. Gleiche Distro und auf ein Turion64 HP dv2000 Notebook. Have installed successfully on a Shuttle PC with AMD Sempro processor. Haben sich erfolgreich auf einem Shuttle-PC mit AMD Prozessor Sempro installiert. Not sure if I have to completely hose this install and reinstall from scratch... Nicht sicher, ob ich diese vollständig Schlauch installieren und von Grund auf neu installieren zu haben ... I've had sound issues as well. Ich habe Soundprobleme hatte als gut. Can't record correctly from a USb mic. Kann nicht korrekt von einem USB-Mikrofon aufzeichnen. But as they say...that is another problem altogether. Aber wie gesagt ... dass ein weiteres Problem ist überhaupt. Did you have any luck Ronald? Hast du kein Glück Ronald?

    The installation on 64-bit linux machines is a little different and requires some 32-bit libraries present on machine.     I had to close Firefox-2 before the AIR install would work; before that I got the "Installation may not be allowed" error as above. Ich musste in der Nähe Firefox-2 vor der AIR installieren funktionieren würde, vor, dass ich die "Installation geraten ist nicht zulässig" Fehler wie oben.

    I'm new to Linus so I must be ding something wrong. Ich bin neu bei Linus so muß ich ding etwas falsch gemacht.

    When I run "chmod +x adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin" Wenn ich starte "chmod + x adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin"

    It tells me "No such file or directory" Es sagt mir "No such file or directory"

  • I was having some challenges, getting that "sorry, an error has occured" message mid-install.     If u hv any problem just make sure the chmod is done in the right folder. Wenn u hv jedes Problem nur sicherstellen, dass die chmod ist in den richtigen Ordner getan.

Installation funktioniert großartig mit adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin, aber nicht mit den neuesten bin. A window pops up to tell me the installation failed and I had to ask my administrator about that.   • Figured out what it was, Before you install a new version of Adobe AIR on Ubuntu, you must uninstall the old version. Herausgefunden, was es war, Sie vor der Installation einer neuen Version von Adobe AIR unter Ubuntu, müssen Sie die alte Version zu deinstallieren. Otherwise you'll get the error message above.   • I've found an easier way to install Adobe Air on Ubuntu (I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 - The Hardy Heron). Ich habe einen einfacheren Weg, um Adobe Air auf Ubuntu zu installieren gefunden (ich verwende Ubuntu 8.04 - The Hardy Heron).

    All I did was to visit the Adobe Air Marketplace [http://tinyurl.com/2ydjqx] and requested to install one of the apps there.   • removing the adobeair-enu package worked for me as well on 8.04 (without even closing firefox).     I'm assuming if I knew the answers to those two questions I would know how to run the other commands.   • If you can not do the simple "sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin" thing, try the following: Wenn Sie nicht den einfachen "sudo. / AdobeAIRInstaller.bin" Ding, versuchen Sie folgendes:

    $ chmod 777 AdobeAIRInstaller.bin $ Chmod 777 AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
    $ ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin $. / AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

    Worked for me, and remember to close your browser first. Arbeitete für mich, und denken Sie daran, Ihren Browser schließen Sie zunächst. :) :)
