How to Install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu Cómo instalar Adobe AIR en Ubuntu

Adobe Technologies released the Linux version of Adobe AIR some weeks ago which brings web applications and widgets to your desktop. Installing new applications on a Linux distribution is always a mystery for newbies so here is a guide that teaches you how to install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu.   1. Open the Terminal Abra la Terminal
  2. Download the file from here using the wget command: Descargue el archivo desde aquí usando el comando wget:
    http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/1.5/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/1.5/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  3. The name of the file is AdobeAIRInstaller.bin El nombre del archivo es AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  4. Save the file in the Home folder (Places > Home Folder) Guarde el archivo en la carpeta Inicio (Lugares> Carpeta personal)
  5. Run this command: Ejecute este comando:
    chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  6. Now run this command: Ahora ejecute este comando:
    sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

The normal installer will open, install it. El instalador normal abierto, instalarlo. From now whenever you download a .air file, just double click it and it will be installed. A partir de ahora cada vez que se descarga un archivo. Aéreo, sólo haga doble clic en él y se instalará.

    Just one thing at step 6 "sudo ./ adobeair_etc" should be "sudo ./adobeair_etc" just remove the extra space otherwise if you copy and paste it is not gonna work Sólo una cosa en el paso 6 "sudo. / Adobeair_etc" debe ser "sudo. / Adobeair_etc" sólo eliminar el espacio extra de otra manera si se copia y pega, no va a funcionar

  • Having same problem as Ronald. Habiendo mismo problema que Ronald. Same Distro and on a turion64 HP DV2000 laptop. Distribución en la misma y en un Turion64 portátil HP dv2000. Have installed successfully on a Shuttle PC with AMD Sempro processor. Ha instalado correctamente en un PC de Shuttle con el procesador AMD Sempra. Not sure if I have to completely hose this install and reinstall from scratch... No estoy seguro si tengo que instalar esta tubería completamente y volver a instalar desde cero ... I've had sound issues as well. He tenido problemas con el sonido también. Can't record correctly from a USb mic. No se puede grabar correctamente desde un micrófono USB.     The installation on 64-bit linux machines is a little different and requires some 32-bit libraries present on machine.     I had to close Firefox-2 before the AIR install would work; before that I got the "Installation may not be allowed" error as above. Tuve que cerrar Firefox-2 antes que el aire se instala el trabajo, antes de que me la "La instalación no puede ser permitido" error que el anterior.

    When I run "chmod +x adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin" Cuando ejecuto "chmod + x adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin"

    It tells me "No such file or directory" Me dice "No existe el fichero o directorio"

  • I was having some challenges, getting that "sorry, an error has occured" message mid-install. He tenido algunos problemas, consiguiendo que "Lo sentimos, ha ocurrido un error" mensaje de mediados de instalar. I closed Opera and retried the install and it worked fine! Cerré la Ópera y reintentar la instalación y ha funcionado muy bien! Anyone having that error should definitely try shutting down their browser first.   • Figured out what it was, Before you install a new version of Adobe AIR on Ubuntu, you must uninstall the old version. Averiguado lo que era, antes de instalar una nueva versión de Adobe AIR en Ubuntu, debe desinstalar la versión antigua. Otherwise you'll get the error message above.   • I've found an easier way to install Adobe Air on Ubuntu (I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 - The Hardy Heron). He encontrado una forma más fácil de instalar Adobe Air en Ubuntu (estoy usando Ubuntu 8.04 - The Hardy Heron).

    All I did was to visit the Adobe Air Marketplace [http://tinyurl.com/2ydjqx] and requested to install one of the apps there. When you do this, you'll be told that Adobe Air is not installed on your machine and then be given a chance to install it.   • I also was getting and error when trying to upgrade from a previous version. Yo también estaba y error al intentar actualizar desde una versión anterior.

    Finally figured out that Air installs a package. Por último descubierto que Air instala un paquete. Removing the old package with Al eliminar el paquete de edad con

    apt-get remove adobeair1.0

    I'm assuming if I knew the answers to those two questions I would know how to run the other commands.   • If you can not do the simple "sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin" thing, try the following: Si usted no puede hacer el sencillo "sudo. / AdobeAIRInstaller.bin" cosa, intente lo siguiente:

    $ chmod 777 AdobeAIRInstaller.bin AdobeAIRInstaller.bin $ chmod 777
    $ ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin $. / AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

    Worked for me, and remember to close your browser first. Funcionó para mí, y no olvide cerrar su navegador. :) :)
