Adobe Technologies released the Linux version of Adobe AIR some weeks ago which brings web applications and widgets to your desktop. Installing new applications on a Linux distribution is always a mystery for newbies so here is a guide that teaches you how to install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu.   1. Open the Terminal Откройте терминал
  2. Download the file from here using the wget command: Скачать файл отсюда помощью Wget команду:

  3. The name of the file is AdobeAIRInstaller.bin Название файла AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  4. Save the file in the Home folder (Places > Home Folder) Сохраните файл в папке Home (места> Home Folder)
  5. Run this command: Выполните следующую команду:
    chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
  6. Now run this command: Теперь запустите следующую команду:
    sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

    Just one thing at step 6 "sudo ./ adobeair_etc" should be "sudo ./adobeair_etc" just remove the extra space otherwise if you copy and paste it is not gonna work Просто одно дело в шаге 6 "Суда. / Adobeair_etc" должно быть "Суда. / Adobeair_etc" просто удалить дополнительное пространство в противном случае, если скопировать и вставить это не сработает

    The installation on 64-bit linux machines is a little different and requires some 32-bit libraries present on machine.     I had to close Firefox-2 before the AIR install would work; before that I got the "Installation may not be allowed" error as above. Я был вынужден закрыть Firefox-2 до AIR установка будет работать, до этого я получила "Установка не может быть разрешен" Ошибка как указано выше.

  • I was having some challenges, getting that "sorry, an error has occured" message mid-install.   • Figured out what it was, Before you install a new version of Adobe AIR on Ubuntu, you must uninstall the old version.   • I've found an easier way to install Adobe Air on Ubuntu (I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 - The Hardy Heron). Я нашел более легкий путь для установки Adobe Air в Ubuntu (я использую Ubuntu 8.04 - Hardy Heron).

    All I did was to visit the Adobe Air Marketplace [http://tinyurl.com/2ydjqx] and requested to install one of the apps there. When you do this, you'll be told that Adobe Air is not installed on your machine and then be given a chance to install it.   • If you can not do the simple "sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin" thing, try the following: Если вы не можете сделать простой "Суда. / AdobeAIRInstaller.bin" вещь, попробуйте следующее:

    $ chmod 777 AdobeAIRInstaller.bin $ CHMOD 777 AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
    $ ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin $. / AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

    Worked for me, and remember to close your browser first. Работал для меня, и не забудьте закрыть браузер в первую очередь. :) :)
