5 Interesting Things To Do with Google Notebook

Google Notebook is a quick-note taking service by Google which was launched back in 2006 but still very few people seem to know about it. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if its is the first time ever you use this service after reading this post. I am going to share 5 ways of making good use of Google Notebook that can help you with your daily life productivity.

1. Manage To-Do Lists

If you think that RememberTheMilk is a little too advance for you to handle and manage your daily To-Do lists then Google Notebook may serve as the best alternative in this case. You can create, edit and manage your daily To-Do and tasks list on Google Notebook just like you would do on your diary.

2. Make List of Upcoming Blog Posts

This is what I personally use Google Notebook the most for i.e. managing blog posts. I make lists of posts with their titles, short description and links. The list always refreshes my mind of the new posts that I have to write. This way I never forget posting about news alerts, old tips and tricks and miscellaneous chunks of knowledge. Perfect for bloggers and publishers.

3. Clip and Collect Information

Google Notebook also has a Firefox extension which makes it easy for Firefox users to clip and collect information from websites. You can collect recipes, gift ideas, and interesting articles from the web on the fly (thanks to Ajax) and can even organize all your collected information in a proper order. The best thing is that you won’t ever have to leave your browser window.

4. Read, Write and Edit notes from Mobile

Unlike other quick-note services, Google Notebook has a special version which is optimized for working on a mobile or smartphone. Works like a charm with Nokia N95, iPod Touch, iPhone and other smartphone devices. The special version can be accessed at:

You can access other notes you made while you were on your PC and can even create new notes which are labeled as “Mobile Notes”.

5. Share and Collaborate

With Google Notebook not only can you create notes and collect information for yourself but you can also invite users to help you manage your notes. These notes can even be exported as HTML or shared with your friends/family. Moreover you have even got an option to print these notes or export all of them to Google Docs.

Google Notebook is indeed a great tool but not many users understand how productive this little service can be. Give it a try and you will feel the difference.

Lot of options, never used all these.

I always use gnotebook to track all my blogposts…would love if there could be a local application for storing all my notes in gnotebook.

If you know some thing like this please share it.

Google Notebook could be better - it lacks some features compared to other Google products. Good list though.
