Fring, which is a famous Mobile VoIP and IM service has just launched an iPhone app for users to make free calls. Fring lets you interact with your friends by allowing you to access social IM applications on the go and also allows you to make free calls to other Fring users.
The reason why the Fring iPhone app is being appreciated so much is because of the fact that it is the first ever mobile VoIP app publicly available for the iPhone. Though some other VoIP applications for the iPhone have released already but what makes Fring for iPhone unique is its great iPhone-compatible interface and user-friendly features.
Fring for iPhone not only lets you make free calls but also allows you to get connected to your favorite IM service e.g. MSN, Yahoo IM or Google Talk. The only downside of this app is that unlike most other iPhone apps, it does not work with the iPod Touch but a special version for iPod Touch may soon be out.
To try Fring for iPhone, Jailbreak your iPhone and open Installer. Go to edit sources and add http://www.fring.com/iphone.xml as a new source. In categories you will see a folder called “fring” which can be accessed to install the Fring for iPhone application.
