    The most important reason I see that is not listed above is that Ubuntu has a short release cycle. Der wichtigste Grund sehe ich, dass die oben nicht aufgeführt ist, dass Ubuntu einen kurzen Release-Zyklus hat. With only 6 months between each new version of Ubuntu, Ubuntu can build and make available applications long before Windows or Mac.     Yes my friend, you have damn right, they might release a new version every month too, but who's gonna by new hardware or laptops every 6 months, kernels's getting heavier and heavier all the time! Ja, mein Freund, du hast verdammt recht, könnten sie eine neue Version erscheint jeden Monat auch, aber who's gonna durch neue Hardware oder Laptops alle 6 Monate, Kerne wird immer schwerer und schwerer die ganze Zeit! Soon enough shall we need 10 GHz proc.power and 10 GB RAM, Should we be happier then? Schon bald werden wir brauchen 10 GHz proc.power und 10 GB RAM, sollten wir dann glücklicher?
    What says about to take it easier, WinXP have still 95%! Was sagt über ihn zu erleichtern, WinXP noch 95%!

    Every device works out of the box - big claim and not true. Jedes Gerät funktioniert out of the box - große Ansprüche und nicht wahr. A lot of things will work ootb and nearly all with tweaking but not all. Vieles wird ootb Arbeit und fast alle zu verbiegen, aber nicht alle. I've certainly got a usb wireless adapter at home which doesn't. Ich habe sicherlich hat einen drahtlosen USB-Adapter zu Hause, das nicht.

  • This distro is getting better month after month. Diese Distribution ist besser Monat für Monat. The LTS support will appeal most of the system admins to check out Ubuntu more. Die LTS unterstützt werden Rechtsmittel meisten Administratoren des Systems zu überprüfen, aus Ubuntu mehr.

  • I installed Ubuntu 8.04 about 5 days ago and so far it has been great. Ich installierte Ubuntu 8.04 vor ungefähr 5 Tage und bis jetzt hat es war großartig. It runs better and faster than Windows and installing programs and applications is very simple. Es läuft besser und schneller als Windows und Installieren von Programmen und Anwendungen ist sehr einfach. This is my first Linux experience and, IMO, it is not hard to learn.   • The Wubi installation doesnt seem to work for me. Die Wubi Installation doesnt seem to work for me. After installation and restart when i try to start Ubuntu, it gives an error saying "Upper Memory" and my Bios settings are reset.     If dial up modems are used, it doesn't identify it.
