File Types is a built-in system manager in Windows which gives you a list of all the file extensions and types registered on your computer. It can be accessed via Tools → Folder Options → File Types. The only downside is that this default manager does not give you as detailed information as it should so as an alternative one can make use of a utility called FileTypesMan which is a better alternative to File Types manager.

FileTypesMan displays a list of all file extensions and types registered on your computer just like File Types manager but the useful part is that it even displays information like information: Type Name, Description, Flags, Perceived Type, MIME Type, Browser Flags and much more which the default File Types manager does not.
FileTypesMan also allows you to easily edit the properties and flags of each file type, as well as it allows you to add, edit, and remove actions in a file type.
The utility does not require any installation and works out-of-the-box. To use it simply place the executable inside a folder and run (FileTypesMan.exe) to get a detailed list of all file extensions. For more details visit FileTypesMan page or directly Download it.
