The reason I do not like Google Reader much is because of the reason that it does not come as a standalone desktop app. De reden waarom ik niet zoals Google Reader is veel, want de reden dat het niet komen als een standalone desktop app. However this is about to change with the new Adobe Air app called ReadAir. Maar dit is aan het veranderen met de nieuwe Adobe Air app genaamd ReadAir.

ReadAir is an OSX Themed Desktop Client for any operating system that can run the Adobe AIR platform (Mac, Windows or even Linux). ReadAir is een OSX Themed Desktop Client voor elk besturingssysteem dat kan draaien de Adobe AIR-platform (Mac, Windows of Linux). It synchronizes with your online Google Reader account to provide you the latest news and articles through RSS feeds. Het synchroniseert met uw online Google Reader-account om u het laatste nieuws en artikelen via RSS-feeds.

The developer has promised that the app will soon feature some unique themes and keyboard shortcuts. De ontwikkelaar heeft beloofd dat de app straks een aantal unieke thema's en sneltoetsen functie. The great feature of this app is that it retains the qualities of other apps built on the Adobe Air platform ie light size and simplicity. Het grote kenmerk van deze app is dat het behoudt de kwaliteiten van andere apps gebouwd op het platform Adobe Air dwz lichte grootte en eenvoud.

Something tells me that FeedDemon by NewsGator (currently the most-used desktop RSS reader app) is going to get a tough competition with ReadAIR. Iets zegt me dat door NewsGator FeedDemon (momenteel de meest gebruikte desktop RSS-reader app) gaat naar een harde concurrentie met ReadAIR krijgen.

  • Thanks for the heads up. Bedankt voor de heads-up. I have been using GReader with Mozilla Prism just for the same reason that I wanted it as a Desktop Reader as well. Ik gebruik GReader met Mozilla Prism net om dezelfde reden dat ik wilde het als een Desktop Reader ook. This one looks very cool but with Adobe Air in Linux, I don't get a login to put my username/password. Deze ziet er erg cool, maar met Adobe Air in Linux, ik niet krijgen een login aan mijn gebruikersnaam Put / wachtwoord. Instead the AIR Introspector is popping up. In plaats daarvan is de AIR Introspector opduiken.
  • Yeh I faced the problem too. Yeh ik geconfronteerd met het probleem ook. Just try closing the application and restarting it by clicking on the desktop icon. Probeer het sluiten van de toepassing en opnieuw door te klikken op het bureaublad icoon. The login manager will open up behind. De login manager wordt geopend achter.

    The application does have minor bugs but I hope they will be fixed in the future releases. De aanvraag heeft wel kleine foutjes, maar ik hoop dat zij zullen worden vastgesteld in de toekomstige versies.
  • Yep, tried that but it's the Introspection window that pops up. Yep, geprobeerd maar het is de Introspection venster dat verschijnt. Could be something on my end and will try it on my Windows machine. Kan wel iets op mijn einde en zal het proberen op mijn Windows machine. :-) :-)
