This year we have seen a lot of cool touchscreen gadgets and smartphones. The reason why smartphone makers are competing against each other so badly is because of the tough competition provided by Apple iPhone which was unveiled last year and yet remains the best touchscreen gadget.

Now that I am bored with my non-touchscreen Nokia N95, its time for me to buy a touchscreen gadget and thats where my readers are going to help me decide which gadget to go for. After a long search I have compiled a list of 5 touchscreen gadgets which, according to me, are the top contenders for being labeled as the best touchscreen gadget of 2008.

1. iPhone 3G

iPhone 3G, the first ever iPhone model with 3G technology, is expected to release in June and comes in three colors: Black, Silver and White.

2. HTC Touch Diamond

Recently reviewed by us, the HTC Touch Diamond features the TouchFlo technology with a Prism-like back.

3. Sony Xperia

Sony Xperia is another one of the most awaited touchscreen smartphones of 2008. It is powered by Windows Mobile and features 9 simultaneously active workspaces.

4. Nokia Tube

Nokia Tube a.k.a the iPhone Killer will be the first ever touchscreen smartphone running on the Symbian OS.

5. Samsung Instinct

Samsung Instinct is Sprint’s response to AT&Ts Apple iPhone comes equipped with localized tactile feedback, called haptics.
