The iPhone 3G is even thinner. It features black plastic back, solid metal buttons, same gorgeous display, camera, flush headphone jack, and improved audio. iPhone 3G also features faster data downloads which makes it perfect for Safari and Mail.

iPhone 3G has an efficiency of data transfer 3 times that of EDGE. Also, when compared to other 3G phones (Nokia N95 and Treo 750), the iPhone is 36% faster.

GPS support is now also included in iPhone 3G giving iPhone the ability to do live tracking. iPhone 3G will be available by July 11th in 22 countries. It will cost $199 for 8GB black edition and $299 for 16GB white edition.

  • They have been smarter this time attaching a 2 year contract with it. 199$ seems impressive at first, but the total cost will not be that sweet.

I'd love to have an iPhone, still waiting for its launch in india.
