Not every average computer user is a typing expert. No matter how many years of typing experience one has, URL typing errors or typos are still inevitable.
URL Fixer for Firefox is a simple little add-on that will make sure your typing mistakes are automatically corrected as you type.

Lets say, you wanted to go to “Google.com” but instead you typed in “Google.con” in a hurry.
URL Fixer will automatically correct the URL for you and will also ask you for confirmation. Currently it supports auto-correction of all TLDs e.g. .com, .net, .info etc and protocols (http:, https:).
If you make typos frequently, then URL Fixer is the best Firefox add-on for you.

Great Add-on…Thanks for sharing
Really a useful plugin. Thanks for sharing dude.
Thanks for the tip!
As an alternative, I might also suggest using OpenDNS. It does many useful things, including auto-correcting the same types of errors as this plugin.
The benefit is that, in addition to all the other OpenDNS perks, it does NOT require any addon (and is therefore also not limited to just Firefox) - rather, you set your individual computer or your router to automatically send all DNS resolution there, instead of through your ISP (which can also sometimes increase browsing speed).
Firefix is another plugin that corrects typo’s in Firefox
Firefox’s new URL bar is diffucult for manyone. But I think it’s useful.
