Finally Google recognizes faces. So ... What's next? If you see a girl that you don't know name, take her photo and send it to Google.

It will say who she is etc. Very nice. :) Keep going on!

I don't know much about domain names ;), but all I want to say is this name will prove to be a major loss for them because...only geeks and net junkies who used to remember websites addresses by heart can only remember this...visualize if you have to tell someone about the site then what would you tell:"hey bud! here is a new cool website! facesearch.com....in which 'a' comes before 'e' in the word search" it is complex for noobs...and thus failed as a search engine.

1) reason one: the "right" spelled combination of face and search seems to belong to a domain grabber and i don't pay such people a cent

2) the term facesaerch was not existing on google prior, now facesaerch is mentioned 28,700 times - see http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=facesaerch&btnG=Google+Search - not bad for the 28 days since facesaerch is online

3) generic terms are overrated

4) brand your site - and a brand does not need to make sense

5) some reviews outline the ae fact, so the name becomes even more attention. 1/4 of my traffic is direct traffic (means: type in or in-browser bookmarks)

6) thx to SEO it doesn't matter this much, i rank top-dog for the term "facesearch" (spelled "right") anyway - 1/4 of my traffic comes via search engines (the other missing half is referring sites)

7) people become curious because is something is not quite right (see mr. tech updates)

thx for your interrest

It would have been impossible for the creators to get the domain FaceSearch.com as it seems to be a premium one.

So perhaps because 'Saerch' looks quite funky and close to 'Search' so they named it FaceSaerch.com instead.

Seeing the title in the feed i came in to check if the 'Search' spelling with mistyped or not :) seems the creators choose 'Saerch' for some unknown reason.
