Some days ago the first alpha version of the upcoming version of Ubuntu ie Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex was announced by Canonical. Alcuni giorni fa la prima versione alpha della prossima versione di Ubuntu ovvero Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex è stata annunciata da Canonical.

Technically we won't be getting many new features in Ubuntu 8.10 except for a whole new UI redesign, a new Kernel, Firefox 3.0 final and some other software updates. One thing I am sure of is that Ubuntu 8.10 will probably get a new wallpaper as Ibex is a mountain goat while the wallpaper you see in the screenshots above shows a Heron which is for Ubuntu 8.04.
