If you are big fan of Linux then you would definitely want out to try this new Ubuntu-based Linux flavor known as WattOS. Wenn du großer Fan von Linux, dann möchte definitiv aus, um zu versuchen diese neue Ubuntu-basierte Linux-Variante als WattOS bekannt.

WattOS is a remaster of Ubuntu Linux in a lightweight fashion that runs quickly with low system requirements. WattOS ist ein Remaster von Ubuntu Linux in einem leichten Mode, die schnell läuft mit geringen Systemanforderungen. The operating system will run on low power computers and recycled systems keeping you working and playing with all the features you expect. Das Betriebssystem läuft auf den Computern und Low-Power-Recycling-Systeme halten Sie arbeiten und spielen mit allen Funktionen, die Sie erwarten.

Currently it is heavy under development and as of now only the alpha build of this OS is available for download and can be run on a Live CD. In future, three desktop versions of WattOS will be available: In Zukunft werden drei Desktop-Versionen von WattOS verfügbar sein:

wattOS - The core desktop system using a fully featured Gnome desktop. wattOS - Die Core-Desktop-System mit einem voll ausgestatteten Gnome-Desktop.
mWattOS - Milliwatt a smaller desktop system using XFCE as the core interface. mWattOS - Milliwatt ein kleiner Desktop-System mit XFCE als Kern-Schnittstelle. (known as mWOS). (bekannt als MWH).
µWattOS - Microwatt an even smaller desktop utilizing a minimal desktop GUI or command line. μWattOS - Microwatt einen noch kleineren Desktop-Nutzung eine minimale Desktop-Schnittstelle oder Befehlszeile. Ideal for appliances, small systems, kiosks, or old computers. Ideal für Geräte, kleine Systeme, Kioske, oder alte Computer.

Yesterday night I tried WattOS and it worked fine. Gestern Abend habe ich versucht WattOS und es hat gut funktioniert.

Althought Microsoft has just patented the PageUp and PageDown keys ( Obwohl Microsoft hat soeben die patentierte PageUp und Bild ab-Tasten ( http://discuss.itwire.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&am... http://discuss.itwire.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&am ... ) so I guess there could be some patents violated, whether they are actually enforceable is another matter. ) Also denke ich, es könnte einige Patente verletzt werden, ob sie tatsächlich durchsetzbar sind, ist eine andere Sache.
