I don’t think they have webcam support though I am not sure about it as I haven’t tested it with Webcam.

Wine is an excellent solution for many Windows only applications that you just can't seem to live without. If you want to give that a try, but are unsure if you're program will work, see the Wine AppDB. It's a list of many programs, and tells you how well (or not) a given program works (broken down into levels of how well they work).

You should try http://www.emesene.org , it’s very simillar to the MSN Messenger for Windows, and on the last version it support file transfers. Oh, offline messaging too , for me was very useful ’cause I have a lot of contact who sent me always offline messages :S. I hope this comment help anybody
