At first I found it quite difficult to use Pidgin Internet Messenger on Ubuntu Linux. In un primo momento ho trovato abbastanza difficile da usare Pidgin Internet Messenger su Ubuntu Linux. Even though it allows signing into MSN, Yahoo! Anche se consente la firma in MSN, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk, it still doesn't give me the real feel of an instant messenger. Messenger e Google Talk, ancora non mi danno la sensazione reale di un instant messenger.

After a little research on the Internet, I was sad to find out that Microsoft does not provide a Linux version of MSN. But thanks to following two softwares you can enjoy MSN instant messaging on Linux just as you would on Windows. KMess KMess tops the list for me as its interface closely resembles to that of Windows Live Messenger. in cima alla lista per me in quanto la sua interfaccia è molto simile a quella di Windows Live Messenger. It features offline messages, Winks, Rich text chats, Emoticons and much more. È dotato di messaggi offline, strizzatine d'occhio, chat di testo Rich, emoticon e molto altro ancora.

The other software that you can try is Gli altri software che si può provare è aMSN aMSN . . It has all features of KMess and some other additional features such as Webcam support, Tabbed conversations and Voice Clips. Ha tutte le caratteristiche di KMess e alcune altre funzionalità aggiuntive come il supporto Webcam, conversazioni a schede e Voice Clips.

Otherwise you can always try installing original Windows Live Messenger using Wine on Linux. Altrimenti si può sempre provare l'installazione originale di Windows Live Messenger su Linux usando Wine. However there is no guarantee if this will work or not. Tuttavia non vi è alcuna garanzia se questo funziona o no.

To install KMess and aMSN simply visit their respective websites or use the universe package repository in Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu. Per installare KMess e aMSN è sufficiente visitare i rispettivi siti web o utilizzare il repository del pacchetto universo in Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu.

You should try Si dovrebbe provare http://www.emesene.org http://www.emesene.org , it's very simillar to the MSN Messenger for Windows, and on the last version it support file transfers. , È molto simillar al MSN Messenger per Windows, e l'ultima versione supporta i trasferimenti di file. Oh, offline messaging too :), for me was very useful 'cause I have a lot of contact who sent me always offline messages :S. Martin: Emesene works perfectly for me, just try on another computer o reinstall it. Martin: Emesene funziona perfettamente per me, provate su un altro computer o reinstallarlo.

I don't think they have webcam support though I am not sure about it as I haven't tested it with Webcam. Non credo che abbiano il supporto webcam se non sono sicuro di come non ho ancora testato con webcam.
