At first I found it quite difficult to use Pidgin Internet Messenger on Ubuntu Linux. In eerste instantie vond ik het heel moeilijk om Pidgin Internet Messenger te gebruiken op Ubuntu Linux. Even though it allows signing into MSN, Yahoo! Hoewel het mogelijk maakt te melden bij MSN, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk, it still doesn't give me the real feel of an instant messenger. Messenger en Google Talk, het nog steeds niet geef mij het echte gevoel van een instant messenger.

After a little research on the Internet, I was sad to find out that Microsoft does not provide a Linux version of MSN. Na wat onderzoek op het internet, was ik verdrietig om te zien dat Microsoft niet in een Linux-versie van MSN te bieden. But thanks to following two softwares you can enjoy MSN instant messaging on Linux just as you would on Windows. Maar dankzij de twee volgende software kunt u genieten van MSN instant messaging op Linux net zoals u zou op Windows.

KMess Kmess tops the list for me as its interface closely resembles to that of Windows Live Messenger. bovenaan de lijst voor mij als de interface lijkt op die van Windows Live Messenger. It features offline messages, Winks, Rich text chats, Emoticons and much more. Het beschikt over offline berichten, Winks, Rich text chats, Emoticons en nog veel meer.

The other software that you can try is De andere software die je kunt proberen is aMSN aMSN . . It has all features of KMess and some other additional features such as Webcam support, Tabbed conversations and Voice Clips. Het heeft alle kenmerken van kmess en een aantal andere extra functies zoals Webcam ondersteuning Tabbed gesprekken en Voice Clips.

Otherwise you can always try installing original Windows Live Messenger using Wine on Linux. Anders kunt u altijd proberen te installeren originele Windows Live Messenger met behulp van Wine op Linux. However there is no guarantee if this will work or not. Er is echter geen garantie of dit zal werken of niet.

To install KMess and aMSN simply visit their respective websites or use the universe package repository in Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu. Te installeren kmess en aMSN gewoon bezoek hun respectieve websites of gebruik het universum pakket opslagplaats in Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu.

You should try Je moet proberen http://www.emesene.org http://www.emesene.org , it's very simillar to the MSN Messenger for Windows, and on the last version it support file transfers. Is het erg simillar naar de MSN Messenger voor Windows, en op de laatste versie te steunen file transfers. Oh, offline messaging too :), for me was very useful 'cause I have a lot of contact who sent me always offline messages :S. Oh, offline messaging ook:), voor mij was zeer nuttig want ik heb veel contact die mij gezonden heeft altijd offline berichten: S. I hope this comment help anybody :) Ik hoop dat dit commentaar helpen iedereen:)

It looks really cool and especially its interface looks so minimal and easy to use. Het ziet er echt cool en vooral de interface ziet er zo minimaal en makkelijk te gebruiken.

It's really very good -just look on the internet- but I don't know why I can't install it bot only download? Het is echt heel goede kijk op het internet, maar ik weet niet waarom ik niet kan installeren bot alleen downloaden?

I don't think they have webcam support though I am not sure about it as I haven't tested it with Webcam. Ik denk niet dat ze hebben webcam steun al ben ik niet zeker als ik het niet heb het getest met Webcam.
