I’m all for the speed features… but web applications? One of the reasons why Windows and Mac OS X are so much slower than Linux is because they seem to think web apps make good apps. In my opinion, I’d rather Ubuntu never gets this feature. If it’s going to be as badly implemented as web applications usually are, I think I might finally switch to Slackware.

My nightmares made reality!

The day our desktops completely become fullscreen web browsers, I’ll have to decide between not touching a computer again, sticking to the currently-available software and never upgrading again, or suicide.

9.04 is Jaunty….not 9.10 (which is referenced several times)

I’m definitely looking forward to an improvement in boot speed.

I’m dual-booting Kubuntu 8.04 with XP right now and rather disappointed that XP boots much faster.
